A prayer for u my dear

Father: I thank you that you brought her into my life. I ask you to forgive me for
my lack of patience and for being self-centered
Always thinking about myself and what I want.
Wanting to be comfortable all the time,
instead of trying to be a help to other people.
Most of all, I pray that you'll help me to
always be gentle, good, and understanding
with this woman who has chosen to live her life with me.

She loves me with all her heart.
With a love that's innocent, trusting and unselfish.
You've had your hand on our lives since the day we met.
We've both been thru a lot. But I do want to thank you for your faithfulness.

There was something wonderful about that moment,
almost like the world had conspired to place
an emphasis on our meeting.
When we came together that day, I realized
immediately how wonderful she was.
There was this bright, burning,
a knowing in her eyes that cut right through her shyness.
It was weird how we trusted each other right from the start.
Whatever kind of City we were at
caused an electric shock when our hands touched.

We both smiled and it all got started in a relaxed and
easy going way. You brought us along, you've brought
us through everything that could have wrecked
us along the way.
Everytime I look at her, I see the little girl
who believes the world is a good place.
That everybody has got good in them
darkness is just a place that light hasn't got to yet.

Father: help me to trust you like she trusts you.
I want to have that kind of faith.
No matter how bad things look she believes,
if she does her best and tries hard enough,
everything will turn out alright.

Forgive me for being in such a hurry all the time.
Being worried, but there really isn't any reason for it.
I think that sometimes I look for the worst in people,
trying to find something wrong with them
so I can feel better about me.
She's always looking for the good in people.
The funny thing is she always seems to find it.
Help me to be as gentle and thoughtful and kind as she is.
To not always be making everything about me,
to not always trying to get everything the way
I want it all the time.
She's the one that’s taught me about kindness
She's the one that’s taught me about patience.
When I do remember to give a little bit of it back to her,
when I remember to be thoughtful,
She's so grateful that tears come to her eyes.
I hated when someone touches my face
But when she touches my face with her hand
I've never seen love like that.
I'll never understand why she loves me the way she does. It’s insane.

Of all the gifts you've given me that's the greatest gift of all. I am serious Lord.
Help me to comfort her when she's troubled
to somehow make her realize how beautiful
and truly wonderful she really is.
Time after time I wasn’t good enough for her. I failed to help her in so many ways. Help me lord.
I don't deserve her.
Lord how I love her.
Help me to be good to her.
Help me to as gentle as I could to her.

Thank you.

Amen.

Advertising

Advertising had bought us

I walk into a store the other day. I stand in front of hundreds bottles of shampoo. I choose one brand, paid for it and leave.
• Why did I just pick that specific kind of shampoo?
• Is it truly better than any other shampoo? Probably not.
• If products are all the same, what makes a consumer pick one brand instead of another?

Although we might not like to admit it, commercials on TV and advertisements in magazines probably influence us more than we think they do.

Advertisements uses lots of method to get us buy their products. But have you ever noticed that one of their successful methods is to make us feel dissatisfied with ourselves and our imperfect lives. Damn!!!

Advertisement shows us who we aren’t and what we don’t have. Come on why do we have to live this way? They lie about us, they steal us.
Advertisements make us afraid that people won’t like us if we don’t use the advertised products. Ive been cheated.

“Why don’t I have dates”? A young woman sadly asks in a commercial. ‘Here’ replies her roommate, try Zoom sliming product!!! You are fat; you got to be slim to have dates. Crap crap!!! Who are you to tell that? Of course she tries it, and immediately the whole football team falls in love with her. That a stupid commercial!!!!!!! We might say. But we still buy them out of fear of being unwanted and unpopular.

Take a few min and think about all the products and outfits you have. Are they the ones you really liked? Or you bought them to be popular.

If fear is the negative motive for buying a product, than wanting a good self-image is the positive reason for choosing it. Each of us has a mental picture of the kind of person we would like to be. For example,
• A modern young woman might like to think that she looks like a beautiful movie star.
• A middle age man might want to see himself as a strong, attractive athlete

ADVERTISERS KNOW THIS.

They write specific ads to make a certain groups of people choose their products.
Certain words attract our attention. Words like “new” “sexy” “improved”. These words draw us to get that product.

Do you know that human biggest fear is being unwanted and being look down at? Psychologists know this. Its human nature. Come on you need God. Because God doesn’t care on how you look or how you are. He loves you just the way you are.

I am beautiful in his eyes. I don’t care what people have to say about me. I live on what he has said about me.

Many people believe that advertisements do not affect them. They feel that they have freedom of choice and they like to think they make wise choices. Unfortunately you are wrong. Don’t believe it? Just look at the brands in your shelf and wardrobe.

I write this just to tell you guys that I had enough being bought by the world. I am sick and tired about it. I need God!!!..

Pray pray pray!!!!!

When We Pray, God Works!

Two things about prayer are truly amazing: (1) God listens when we pray. "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (See Mk 11:24). You may not have much clout anywhere else, but when you pray God listens. (2) We seldom pray. We've the greatest privilege imaginable - access to the control center of the Universe -- yet we rarely use it. And our lack of prayer surprises God.

Through the prophet Ezekiel He lamented: "I sought for a man among them who would...stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one" (Eze 22:30 NKJV). Upon learning that Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be destroyed, Abraham didn't rush to warn the cities. No, he chose to "[remain] standing before the Lord" (Ge 18:22 NIV). When God said the golden calf warranted a nationwide death penalty for Israel, Moses interceded and saved them. One translation of Exodus 32:11 says, "Moses soothed the face of his God." An obscure priest by the name of Phinehas begged God not to send the plague, and it was checked. (See Ps 106:30 NIV).

You say "Why place such a premium on prayer?" Simple. Because when we work, we work. But when we pray, God works! Scripture attaches breathtaking power to prayer. "When two of you get together on anything...and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action" (Mt 18:19 TM). Does any other activity promise such results? Did God call us to preach without ceasing? Or have committee meetings without ceasing? No, but He did call us to "pray without ceasing."
